Coaching for Women

Coaching will help you increase your self awareness, enhance your performance, sharpen your critical thinking skills and improve your ability to set direction and lead more effectively.

It is a particularly useful way for women to identify their particular development needs and increase their confidence.

jml Training uses a structured method to maximise the effectiveness of the coaching. It starts with an introductory session where you identify with the coach the areas you wish to explore. Expectations are clarified and goals and objectives are established. The coach will then work with you to analyse the current position on issues, generate options for change and develop an action plan.

The content of any particular coaching session will also respond to the immediate needs and wishes of the client and the immediate circumstances they find themselves in.

Coaching helps you make the right choices for you.

Executive Coaching

Coaching from jml Training can help you and your organisation.

Increasingly more and more people are seeking one to one coaching at different stages in their careers. Some people use coaching to help them address challenges in their work. Others because they feel they are not accomplishing all they are capable of, or wish to feel more confident in their work role.

Many use coaching when they are seeking to improve their self-awareness and work performance but feel a general course will not meet their specific needs.

  • Coaching will enable you to approach the way you do things much more confidently. It can be about changing “the knowing what to do” into “doing it”.
  • It will increase your level of self-awareness and awareness of the impact that you have on others.
  • It will help you to strengthen your skills base and develop new knowledge and skills.
  • Coaching will help you to maximise your own resources more effectively to improve your performance.
  • It will help you to achieve both corporate and personal goals by motivating you to realise your full potential.

How does it work?

Coaching is conducted on a one-to-one basis. The relationship between the client and the jml Training coach is based on confidentiality.

jml Training uses a structured method to maximise the effectiveness of the coaching. It starts with an introductory session where you identify with the coach the areas you wish to explore. Expectations are clarified and objectives set. The content of any particular coaching session will also respond to the immediate needs and wishes of the client and the immediate circumstances they find themselves in.

It requires a high level of commitment from the client to implement agreed actions and to discuss and evaluate those actions at each coaching session.

The number of coaching sessions can vary dependent on an individual’s needs and progress.

jml Training can provide: -

  • Diagnostic Assessment – Using the Firo B and Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI)personality assessment to help clients gain greater insight into their interpersonal relationships
  • Using Feedback – Providing an opportunity for clients to get feedback on their performance from colleagues and subordinates. This can be done electronically or by questionnaire /interview.
  • Leadership Development – Specific coaching on key aspects to further develop an individual’s personal effectiveness and leadership style.
  • Training and Development - Clients may identify a need for additional skills training on a range of topics, for example communication and influencing skills or presentation skills.
  • Media Coaching – An opportunity to sharpen media skills with highly experienced media trainers.
  • Career Planning – Providing clients with a structured way to consider their career development

Growing your senior team

Individual coaching with managers in combination with senior team development workshops can be a highly successful way to build a strong management team and increase organisational competence.

We can show that the combination of individual support and high quality in-house training is a powerful tool in growing your own senior management capability - it really delivers.

"Coaching our senior managers has proved a great success", says a local government client. The feedback from participants shows that the individual sessions have helped them raise their self-awareness and in many cases accelerated their growth as leaders.

Working with the learning and development goals agreed during the training programme, jml Training coaches are able to challenge and support participants and maximise the transfer of knowledge and skills development into their work practice.

Developing the workplace coach for managers and team leaders

Coaching from jml Training can help you and your organisation.

We are offering a work-based coaching programme designed for managers and team leaders.

The effectiveness of a coaching programme depends mostly on the opportunity provided to participants to explore issues in a practical and participative way.

This requires a high level of interactive training time, coaching sessions that provide participants with the opportunity for confidential discussion and feedback and the experience of being coached. This in turn is supported by assignment work.

This coaching programme provides this balanced and considered approach and is firmly related to the workplace.

Participants are encouraged to undertake a level of self-reflection at each stage in this learning experience in order to increase their self-awareness and to explore the impact they may have, consciously or unconsciously, on their coachees

Firo B and the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator assist in this process of self-awareness. Participants have the opportunity to complete these self-report questionnaires and to receive individual feedback.
